Karon beach is the next beach south of Patong stretching 1.5 km long. This is the second largest tourist destination on Phuket and is more popular with families and less so with singles than Patong.

Two beaches up from Patong is Kamala beach, an up and coming area that is more popular with families and couples. During high season there are many restaurants and bars open along the beach but these along with many others in Kamala close during low season.

The most developed and busiest beach on Phuket island stretching 3 kilometres long. Located on the west of the island. The beach offers a wide range of water sports and activities such as jet skis, para-sailing, volleyball and snorkelling. To hire a beach chair for the day is 150 baht.
